So you committed a secret...

Every month, GitHub detects about a million potential secrets in public repos, and one in every seven private repos has a potential committed credential. In this talk, we'll show you what you should do when you inadvertently commit a credential; how to avoid doing so in the future by externalizing your secrets; and how to use GitHub to scan your projects to make sure no secrets make it into your source code again.
